Servers that support Minecraft 1.18 (Caves & Cliffs: Part II), ranked by player votes this month.
1.18 Caves & Cliffs: Part II (2021) rebuilt world generation: the world now reaches from Y -64 to 320, with huge cave systems, lush and dripstone caves, taller mountains and new ore distribution. It also raised the server requirement to Java 17.
Because 1.18 generates very different terrain from earlier versions, servers that updated older worlds often kept the old map in place while new chunks use the new generation. Version 1.18.2 remains a target for some modpacks. Note that 1.18.1 patched the Log4Shell vulnerability; servers on older versions need equivalent fixes.
