This policy explains what data MinecraftServers.me ("we") processes when you use the website, why, and what choices you have. The site is operated by the MinecraftServers.me team, which is the controller of your data. You can reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.
You can browse the server list without an account. Our hosting and security providers process technical data such as your IP address, browser and requested pages to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We count page views and address copies per server as totals; these counters are not linked to you. We also use Google Analytics to see how the site is used as a whole (see "Services we use" below).
When you vote, we store the Minecraft username you enter, the time of the vote and the server you voted for. Usernames of voters may be shown publicly on the server's page (for example in "Top voters"). To enforce the voting limit we store a keyed hash of your IP address, not the address itself; the hash cannot be turned back into your IP. If the server owner has enabled vote forwarding, your username is sent to their Minecraft server via Votifier so they can give you rewards.
Accounts are optional for players and required for server owners. Sign-in is provided by Clerk, which processes your email address, login credentials or social login data and session information on our behalf. We store your account id, display name and the servers you manage.
Information you submit about a server (name, address, description, links, images) is public. We also store the results of our status checks.
When you report a server, we store your report, a hashed IP address for abuse prevention, and your account id if you are signed in. If you email us, we keep the conversation as long as needed to answer it.

Analytics cookies are set only after you allow them in the cookie banner; without your consent Google receives only cookieless, aggregated signals. You can withdraw your consent via "Cookie settings" in the footer, or block or delete the cookies in your browser settings.mc_consent cookie stores whether you allowed or declined analytics, for 12 months, so we do not ask again on every visit. It is strictly necessary once you have made a choice and contains no personal data.We do not use advertising cookies, and Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled in our analytics.
We process data on three grounds: your consent for analytics cookies (which you can withdraw at any time via "Cookie settings"), the agreement with you when you create an account, list a server or cast a vote, and our legitimate interest in running a secure, fair ranking site (abuse prevention, rate limits, moderation, aggregated statistics).
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict processing. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. For other requests, email [email protected]; we answer within one month. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Voting needs only a Minecraft username and no account. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old, or older where your country sets a higher minimum age for online services (16 in parts of the EU), unless a parent or guardian has agreed. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We will update this page when our practices change and adjust the date above.
